Julien Le GocDirector of Policy, Libra Association
Julien Le Goc is the Director of Policy for the Libra Association, a newly-formed organization that has brought together social impact organizations and a diverse group of leading businesses from around the world to create a low-friction, high-trust payment system that empowers billions of people. In this role, Julien helps lead policy efforts and stakeholder engagement for the Libra Association.
Julien comes to the Libra Association with two decades of experience in risk management, bank regulation and finance, most recently at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), a United States (U.S.) government corporation providing deposit insurance to depositors in U.S. commercial banks and savings institutions. While at the FDIC, Julien led digital transformation and change management efforts and led internal review activities
supporting information technology, cybersecurity, office closures and other key FDIC activities. As the economy recovered, Julien was asked to join the FDIC’s Chief Information Officer and Chief Privacy Officer in a leadership role. Julien executed an information technology, cybersecurity and change management agenda to modernize internal operations and mission critical applications. He has lived and worked in Europe and the United States. Prior to the FDIC, Julien worked in management consulting leading strategic engagements with large enterprises around the world and U.S. Federal government clients.
Julien is a graduate of the Kogod School of Business and holds an MSc. in Finance from the American University in Washington D.C. Julien is a recurring guest lecturer for business and international management courses at the American University.
